The

private

practice

community

for

therapists.

Build your practice, find your people, and stop going it alone.

Build your practice, find your people, and stop going it alone.

Woman sitting on sofa with a laptop and phone

Sound familiar?

You finished your training.

You took the leap into private practice.

And then... the sudden realisation that it's just you, figuring it all out by yourself.

No colleagues to bounce ideas off.

No team to debrief with after a heavy session.

No one to ask "am I charging the right amount?" or "is my website actually working?" without it feeling weird.

You love the work.

You're good at the work.

But some days it's hard not to think:

"Am I doing this right?"

"What am I missing?"

"Is there a better way of doing this that I'm not aware of?"

What if building your practice felt less like going it alone, and more like being plugged into an incredibly resourceful and supportive community?

Imagine logging on to a space where people actually get it.

Where you can ask the questions you'd never post in a public Facebook group. Where people celebrate your wins, help you think through your pricing, and also send the best therapy memes.

That’s Therapists' Forum.

This is a community built for therapists who want to thrive in private practice professionally, financially, and personally, with a community behind them every step of the way.

Here's what you get when you join:

Community & Connection

A private, organised space where therapists can actually talk to each other.

Think: dedicated discussion channels for private practice questions, marketing, wins, book club, challenges, and the stuff that usually stays unsaid.

Plus live voice and video rooms for when you just need to talk to someone.

No lurking in the shadows. No shouting into the void.

Real conversations, with real people who are in the same boat.

Private Practice Growth Sessions

This is the stuff they absolutely did not cover in training.

Monthly workshops and open discussions on the practical side of running a sustainable therapy practice: setting (and raising) your fees, standing out in saturated directories, attracting your ideal clients, diversifying your income without burning out, and so much more.

Because the business side of private practice matters, and it's time we stopped treating it like a dirty secret.

Peer Supervision & Reflective Practice

Small-group peer supervision sessions (around 4–6 therapists) to help you reflect on your work, think through challenges, and feel less alone with the weight of it. Facilitated reflective practice sessions also run regularly.

Expert Talks & Guest Speakers

Monthly sessions from people worth listening to: psychologists, trauma specialists, business experts, and wellbeing practitioners. Topics span clinical practice, industry developments, marketing, money mindset, and more.

All sessions are recorded and added to the library, so you never miss out, and the bank keeps growing the longer you're a member.

Wellbeing Sessions

You cannot pour from an empty cup, and yet here we are.

Regular sessions, think breathwork, movement and mindfulness, facilitated by practitioners who know what they're doing.

Built into the calendar so that taking care of yourself actually happens, rather than just being a good intention.

What a typical month could look like

The schedule will evolve as the community grows, members have a say in shaping it. Voice rooms, channels and discussions are always open.

This is for you if...

This is for you if...

You're a licensed therapist, psychologist, counsellor, psychotherapist, art therapist, or other accredited mental health professional who is:

Just starting out in private practice and figuring things out as you go

Considering the leap into private work and wanting support before you jump

Already established in private practice but craving connection, community, and a space to keep growing

Passionate about the work but clear that it's not your entire personality

Done with going it alone and ready to be surrounded by people who get it

Warm, encouraging, and supportive of those around you

Curious and open-minded, and is ready to put what you’re learning into practice.

Probably not if...

You're looking for a rigid training programme, or a space that takes itself very seriously. We're professional, but we're also human. If you’re after something more formal, this might not be your vibe.

You’re mainly here to promote your work or find clients. We’re not opposed to celebrating wins or the occasional shameless plug, but if your focus is mostly on selling or self-promotion, it can get in the way of  genuine connection.

You see others as competition rather than collaborators. We grow by sharing ideas and supporting each other, not  gatekeeping or comparing ourselves negatively to others.

We are actively building a diverse community.

Therapists' Forum welcomes members from all backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences.

Come as you are; all parts of you are welcome here!

A quick word from Jennifer, the person behind this.

A quick word from Jennifer, the person behind this.

Starting my own private practice so soon after qualifying wasn't exactly the plan. But life had other ideas.

What followed was a lot of trial and error, and lots of late night Googling. Whilst I have been able to grow a thriving private practice, I did miss the kind of community you take for granted when working in a team. The casual conversations. The shared frustrations. The colleague who asks how you are and actually means it.

The irony is, as therapists we are good at helping our clients feel more connected but in private practice we can end up feeling quite isolated. The idea for Therapists' Forum came about because I wanted to meet more people like me, therapists who love what they do, who are building something on their own terms, and who know that they'd do it better with good people around them.

I'm not here to be a guru or tell you there's one right way to do this. We all have something to offer, and we all thrive more when we're not trying to figure everything out on our own.

If that resonates, I'd love to have you here.

We’re also currently in the process of curating a circle of partners who genuinely care about supporting therapists in private practice - from directories to wellbeing platforms to business tools and services. If your organisation shares our ethos and loves what we stand for, we would love to hear from you to discuss how we can work together.

If that's you, please send an email to hello@therapistsforum.com

Your questions answered

Is it only for psychologists?

Is this a paid community?

Do I need to be in private practice already?

Is it only for UK-based therapists?

How is this different from a Facebook group?

Is this a CPD course?

How much time do I need to commit?

Can I cancel any time?

Is my membership a business expense?

When is the community launching?

You got into this work because you care.
Now let's make sure you're cared for too.

Private practice shouldn't mean going it alone. You deserve colleagues. You deserve support. You deserve a space where you can talk about the business side without it feeling awkward, celebrate your wins without feeling like you're showing off, and ask the questions you didn't know you were allowed to ask.

That's what Therapists' Forum is here to be.
